Established in 1960 as a Research - Design Institute for Automation, IPA SA has kept its basic profile until now: research - development, design, production, assembly, service and consulting for automation equipment and installations and information technology (IT) , serving industries (chemistry, petrochemistry, energy, construction materials, metallurgy, machine building, etc.), environmental protection (process emissions control / noxious emissions, monitoring of weather-hydro parameters), services for citizens and communities (computerization of public spaces, runway lighting control, seismic parameters monitoring, hydrotechnical dam behavior monitoring, security systems and fire alarm).
